Riki Turpin

As Director of Events, Riki not only manages the members of the My Edge Events team, but also gets down in the nitty gritty details by coordinating hotels, students, and staff for the events. Because of her prowess in this position, she was able to work with the owners of the parent company to take the Buying Summit from a mere idea to the incredible monthly event it is today. Although young in appearance, Riki is not new to the high profile management scene. Prior to My Edge Events, she was the Director of Operations for Paramount Acceptance, the financing company for Gold’s Gym and other gym chains across the nation. Her co-workers describe her as a multi-tasking champion, great manager, and someone you can count on if you need to build things from the ground up. Riki is not all work and no play though. By day she dons the persona of a workaholic, but after hours she lets go of her inhibitions and shops till she drops.

Margie Velasquez

Margie is one of the My Edge Events’ outstanding Event Coordinators. Her job primarily includes dealing in the customer facing aspects of the event planning process including customer support and travel arrangements. She is very friendly and has the ability to make others around her feel happy. Part of the reason Margie is so good at her job is that she has the highly valued ability to defuse tense situations, works efficiently, and is quick at finding the right solution so the events she is part of can run smoothly. Event attendees enjoy her presence so much that for 2 events in a row she was voted favorite staff member. In 2011 Margie graduated with her bachelor\’s degree from the University of Utah.
